Ingredients

  • 500g pineapple (in slices, tin of 700g incl liquid) / Ananas (in Scheiben, Dose à 700g mit Flüssigkeit)
  • 130 g butter
  • 200g brown cane sugar / brauner Rohrzucker
  • Small glass of pitted cherries / Kleines Glas Kirschen entsteint
  • 3 eggs / Eier
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste / 1 TL Vanillepaste
  • 225g flour / Mehl
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder (half a packet) / 2 TL Backpulver (halbes Päckchen)
  • 0.5 dl milk / Milch

Instructions

  1. Soften 120 g butter. Put the rest aside for buttering the tray. /120 g Butter weich werden lassen. Den Rest für das Bestreichen des Blechs beiseite legen
  2. place the pineapple slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper and roast in the oven at 160°C circulating air for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with brown sugar (approx. 1 teaspoon per slice) and roast for another 10 minutes. Remove and leave to cool completely on the tray (approx. 10 minutes). /Die Ananasscheiben auf ein mit Backpapier belegtes Blech legen und 10 Minuten bei 160 Grad Umluft im Backofen rösten. Mit braunem Zucker bestreuen (ca 1 TL pro Scheibe) und nochmals 10 Minuten rösten. Herausnehmen und auf dem Blech vollständig abkühlen lassen (ca. 10 Minuten).
  3. beat the soft butter with 175g brown sugar with a hand mixer until frothy. Add the eggs one by one and beat well in between. Add the vanilla paste and continue to stir. Add the flour and baking powder and stir to a homogenous dough. Add the milk to make the dough smoother and softer and stir well again./Die 120g zerlaufene Butter und 175g brauner Zucker mit dem Handrührgerät luftig schlagen. Die Eier eines nach dem anderen zugeben und dazwischen immer wieder gut schlagen. Die Vanillepaste zugeben und verrühren. Mehl und Backpulver zugeben und zu einem homogenen Teig verrühren. Die Milch dazu geben damit der Teig glatter und weicher wird und nochmals gut verrühren.
  4. Line out the bottom and the edge of a round baking tray of approx. 28 cm very well with butter. Then sprinkle 3 tablespoons brown sugar on the bottom and cover with the caramelised pineapple slices. Fill the gaps between them and the holes of the stem with cherries. / Bodenfläche und Rand eines runden Backblechs von ca. 28 cm dick mit Butter bestreichen. Den Boden mit 3TL braunem Zucker bestreuen und mit den karamelisierten Ananasscheiben belegen. In den Lücken sowie anstelle des Strunks mit Kirschen auffüllen.
  5. spread the dough over the pineapple slices and smooth it. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 160 degrees circular air. Check with a metal stick if the dough is done (i.e. when the stick comes out clean). Cool in the tray for 5 minutes and then turn upside down onto a cake plate / Den Teig über die Ananansscheiben verteilen und glatt streichen. 25-30 Minuten bei 160 Grad Umluft backen. Garprobe des Teiges mittels Einstechen eines Metallstabs, der sauber herauskommen muss. 5 Minuten in der Form abkühlen und dann umgekehrt auf eine Kuchenplatte stürzen.
